The midsummer wedding of Barbara and Lucas under the almond trees near Fornalutx was a lesson in how stylish and informal simplicity - although often the most difficult to achieve - is the most effective. Everything looked refined on the weekend of their marriage, with the event planned to showcase a casual farm-house look, with stalls serving uncomplicated but excellent local produce. They cleverly re-utilized rustic furniture, second-hand objects and wildflowers, so that all the visual details blended seamlessly into the beautiful countryside. When a setting is so perfect, there is no need to over-decorate. In all the photos, even in the most out-of-focus pictures taken by giggling guests using their i-Phones, the most obvious thing is that everybody was constantly smiling and affectionate.
